Some Nepalis have been injured in a bus accident in Uttar Pradesh, India. Twenty-one Nepalis have been injured in a road accident on the Phulwaria bypass in Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh.
The bus number UP 22 AT 024, which was going from Sunauli to Delhi, collided with a goods truck number UP 21 DT 5237 on Tuesday morning. Balrampur SP Vikas Kumar told Kantipur that the bus caught fire after colliding with the truck.
He said, 'Three people on the bus have died. It is not clear where they are from.' Among the injured, 21 are Nepalis, while 2 are from Bihar and 1 is from Haryana.
One of the injured has been sent to Medical College Lucknow, 5 to Medical College Bahraich and 1 to Memorial Hospital Balrampur, SP Kumar said.
The remaining injured are being treated at the Joint District Hospital, police said. He also said that efforts are being made to identify the body of the deceased.
