In a statement issued today by Pradeep Kumar Koirala, spokesperson of the Office of the President, it was stated that President Poudel has approved the mobilization of the army as per the government's recommendation to strengthen election security.
The statement stated that the approval was given to mobilize the Nepali Army based on the Prime Minister's recommendation and the decision of the Council of Ministers on 2082 Mangsir 8. The statement clarified that the army will be mobilized to provide security for the upcoming House of Representatives member elections.
