Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has said that the vision of the government, built on the foundation of Gen-G's sacrifice, is focused on holding the elections.

He said that he is working hard to complete the elections as soon as possible and hand over the leadership to the newly elected government. Addressing the Lumbini Province-level security seminar that began in Bhairahawa, Rupandehi, on Tuesday, he clarified that the first responsibility of the government formed under special circumstances after the Gen-G movement, not under anyone's supervision, is to complete the elections. 'We will respond to those who say that there will be no elections by giving various excuses through work and role,' he said, 'If there is no improvement even after our children raise questions, another accident may happen in the country.' Therefore, he requested the party leaders to be serious when making statements on the election.

He informed that a security meeting has been started from Lumbini Province to analyze the challenges facing the completion of the elections, the necessary strategies to overcome the challenges seen in the completion of the elections, and to complete the preparations. ‘The reason for starting the meeting from Lumbini is also to spread the message of peace of Buddha,’ he said. ‘To maintain peace and order and create an environment for the election, the government is going to hold security meetings in all seven provinces.’ He said that security challenges will be analyzed in such meetings and security mechanisms will be prepared accordingly.

He stressed that the provinces should also prepare a security plan to conduct the elections successfully. Although the parties promoted the escaped prisoners and looted weapons as a ‘threat’ during the Gen-G movement, the government has increased its activity in controlling such escaped persons and weapons. He said that 78 escaped persons have been taken into custody in Lumbini Province so far. ‘We have mobilized security agencies to search for weapons,’ he said. ‘A more effective plan will be prepared from the provincial security meeting.’

Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya said that the people are still in a state of fear and said that it is necessary to increase the morale of the security personnel. "Currently, anarchic groups are active in weakening the state institutions," he said, "there is no way to perform the work confidently." He said that the first responsibility of the government is to increase the morale of the security personnel. He said that as long as the absconders during the Gen-G movement walk around with their chests puffed out, security will not be guaranteed.
