The highway is being operated in one direction due to a cargo vehicle carrying chemical fertilizer from Birgunj to Bhairahawa breaking down near the Dhyu River on the Daunne road section.

According to the District Police, there has been a long traffic jam from 8:40 am on Monday morning from the eastern market of Daunne section to Dumkibas. Due to the jam, vehicles moving east-west have been stopped up to Dumkibas Bazaar.

There is a traffic jam of more than 300 vehicles there on Monday morning. Police have been deployed to remove the damaged vehicle number Ba Pra 03 001 Kha 0951 from the highway.

There is a traffic jam almost every day due to the uphill climb of about 3 kilometers from Dumkibas towards Bardaghat. Police have stated that vehicles going towards Butwal via Narayangadh have been stopped there. 

According to Police Inspector Thaman Singh Rana of the Dumkibas Area Police Office, the traffic jam that started near the Bishwakarma Temple has reached Dumkibas on Monday morning.
