The police started investigating after the body was found wrapped in black plastic and a sheet. And, 24-year-old Surya Thapa Magar was arrested.

Initial police investigation has revealed that the woman was murdered due to a dispute over a transaction of 500 rupees. Magar has confessed to the police that he killed her. It has been confirmed that the deceased is Maya Magar, also known as Ayush Magar.

How did the incident happen?

14-15 days ago, Maya and another woman named Dolma Bomjan reached Hotel Royal Kundla in Tokha Municipality-9, Milantol, Gongabu, New Bus Park. After reaching there around 12 midnight, Dolma went to the roof, while Maya sat as a staff member and started chatting. When she reached there, she asked Surya for 500 rupees, saying that she wanted to buy brown sugar.

She came out and returned after a while. However, Surya starts demanding Rs 500 back. An argument starts between them on the same issue.

Surya, who got angry, tied Maya's neck with a shoelace and threw her on the ground and punched her. He then confessed to the police that he tied her with two sheets wrapped in black plastic and threw them on the road.
