'During the talks, detailed discussions were held regarding the 27-point demands raised by the Mahabhiyan. During the talks, it was agreed that the government will continue to hold discussions, negotiations and facilitation to address the issues raised by the Civil Defense Mahabhiyan, taking into account the current peace and security situation,' the agreement states. 'The Mahabhiyan has agreed to withdraw the Nepal Bandh, an indefinite general strike program that was announced to begin on Mangsir 20.'
Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister Ajaybhadra Khanal and Advisor Govinda Narayan Timilsina were present on behalf of the government. A team led by Secretary Premdeep Limbu participated on behalf of the Mahabhiyan. Advocates Binod Mani Bhattarai, Lavan Neupane and Nirajan Prasai were also present.
