Minister for Education, Science and Technology Mahabir Pun has made it clear that it is impossible to fulfill all the demands made by Gen-G. He has asked Gen-G to form a government and fulfill their demands themselves by winning the upcoming elections.
Receiving the memorandum submitted by Gen-G 2.0 at the Ministry of Education in Singha Durbar, Minister Pun had said that some of the demands were unfulfillable. The minister had asked the Gen-Gs to participate in the elections and win and come and fulfill their demands.
‘Now, if this is to fulfill all your demands, then you will contest the elections yourself, form the government, and then do the work yourself.’ There is no other way,’ Minister Pun had said, ‘You can’t sit here with the camera pointed at you.’ Such demands are not made by coming to the ministry, making demands to the minister, but by going to the villages yourself. Only your demands can be fulfilled, and mine too will have to be fulfilled.’
Minister Pun had said that the Gen-Gs should go to the villages and prepare for the elections. ‘Now, the brothers and sisters of Gen-G should leave Kathmandu and go to their villages, bring young leaders and fulfill such demands. Some demands can be considered, not all demands can be fulfilled,’ Pun said.
Gen-G 2.0 submitted a memorandum to Minister Pun, asking him to resolve the problems of technical education related to the future of the country and the students who want to earn a living by working abroad and contributing to the development of the country after passing SEE at the age of 16 and studying at CTEVT within a week.
They also said that if the students' demands are not met on time, CTEVT will be responsible for the subsequent situation.
