The schedule for the House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21 has been made public.

The Election Commission has published the schedule for the House of Representatives elections to be held on 21 Falgun on Sunday. The schedule for nomination of candidates, withdrawal of candidacies, and protest against claims under the first past the post (direct) and proportional electoral systems has been made public.

According to the election program, the registration of candidacy nomination papers for the direct route has been scheduled for 6th Magh. The commission has stated that the nomination papers of candidates will be registered at the office of the election officer from 10 am to 5 pm. The list of candidates will be published on the same day from 5 pm to 7 pm.

The time for filing complaints against the candidates is from 10 am to 3 pm on 7th Magh. After investigating the complaints, the list of candidates will be published from 5 pm to 7 pm on 8th Magh. The time for withdrawing names from candidacy is from 10 am to 1 pm on 9th Magh. The final list of candidates will be published and election symbols will be given by 3 pm on the same day.

The commission has mentioned that the election program for the proportional route will begin from 20th Mangsir. Parties wishing to participate in the proportional electoral system have been scheduled to submit applications to the commission between Mangsir 21-23. The list of political parties that have submitted applications will be published on Mangsir 24. Political parties must submit closed lists of candidates for the proportional system between 10 am and 4 pm on Poush 13 and 14.
