Nepal Police have arrested four people for trafficking and selling the drug brown heroin.

A team led by Deputy Inspector of Police of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Vichitra Magar arrested four people, including two Indian nationals, for bringing brown heroin from India and selling it in the capital Kathmandu.

Ravi Anand Dev, 39, of Rajbiraj, Saptari, Raja Kumar, 23, of Haripur, India, Devendra Kumar Shah, 21, of Swastiknagar, India, and Pushpa Magar, 29, of Morang, were arrested and made public, informed the bureau's joint spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police Chandra Bhushan Yadav.

Police said that 272 grams of brown heroin was found in Dev's room in Panerugaun, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-13, Saptari. While Indian nationals Raja and Devendra were trying to sell brown heroin from India in a Scorpio vehicle, 592 grams were recovered from Dhunge Adda in Chandragiri Municipality and 93 grams from Magar's company in Koteshwor area, informed Joint Spokesperson Yadav.

He informed that the investigation revealed that brown heroin was being brought from India and traded at a center in Kathmandu. Joint Spokesperson Yadav said that further investigation is being conducted against the arrested person under the Narcotics (Control) Act, 2033 BS.
