The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has issued a circular to provide details of land and land of community schools across the country. Education Minister Mahabir Pun had directed the Education and Human Resource Development Center to submit the details of land and land.
The Center has written to the Education Development and Coordination Units of 77 districts, requesting them to provide details of land.
‘Since the Ministry of Education has been requesting details of land of community schools and community learning centers, it is requested to provide them as soon as possible,’ the letter from the Center said.
The Ministry of Education has directed the schools to send details of the district, local level, name of the school, land area, occupancy status, and any land-related problems. Minister Pun said that the details were requested as complaints of misappropriation of school land have come from many districts.
Earlier, the Ministry of Education had directed the Center to provide details of scholarships provided by private schools across the country.
There is a legal provision that private schools should provide free scholarships to 10 percent of the students enrolled. According to the provision, details including the names of students and parents who have received scholarships have been requested.
