Home Minister bids farewell to IGP Khapung

Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has bid farewell to Inspector General of Police Chandra Kuber Khapung, who is retiring from Wednesday. Minister Aryal bid farewell to IGP Khapung, who is going on compulsory retirement from Thursday due to his 30-year service, at a program organized at the ministry.

Khapung became the IGP on 19 Bhadra. He remained at the helm of the police for 69 days. The Police Headquarters is bidding farewell to Khapung on Wednesday evening. After Khapung goes on leave, the government has appointed Senior AIG Dan Bahadur Karki as the IGP in Monday's cabinet meeting.

Home Secretary Rameshwor Dangal, Joint Secretary of the Ministry, Deputy Secretary, Police Headquarters, Armed Police Headquarters and senior officers of the National Investigation Department were present at the farewell program organized at the Home Ministry. Home Minister Aryal wished him a successful retirement.
