In a meeting with the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly, and the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Provincial Assemblies at the Presidential Palace, Sheetal Niwas, today, he said that it is necessary to listen to the voice of the people and embrace democratic values ​​in life.

He believed that this would further strengthen democracy and the parliamentary system. President Poudel said that it is necessary to move forward by understanding the essence of the shared responsibility of all to successfully complete the upcoming elections of the House of Representatives on Falgun 21, taking into account the desire expressed by the young generation for good governance and development, to protect the constitution and further advance and strengthen democracy. 

President Poudel said that strengthening the parliamentary system is not the sole responsibility of any one party, government or leadership, but a collective national responsibility. He said, 'The unique role of the parliament and the government is to build a structure that can hear, understand and implement the voice of the people.'

He said that the Constitution of Nepal is not just a legal document but a roadmap for our joint journey, consensus and collective determination, and said that we are all committed to protecting it. President Poudel clarified that the policy of finding solutions by listening to and not ignoring discontented voices should be in everyone's hands.

President Poudel said that everyone is aware of the extent to which the Constitution of Nepal gives the President the right to intervene, and that the decision was taken in an executive role only to protect the country and its people from the crisis when the country was in a complex and serious situation.

He said that the responsibility of the political parties lies with the country to conduct the election of the House of Representatives on Falgun 21 and ensure a safe landing.
