From November 1, all types of cases and petitions, including lawsuits, appeals, retrials, and review petitions, will be registered and heard regularly.

All Supreme Court services to be operational from Mangsir 1

All services of the Supreme Court, which suffered damage from vandalism and arson in the wake of the Gen-G protests, are set to resume operations from November 1.

The Supreme Court has issued a notice and informed that all types of cases will be heard from Mangsir 1. The Supreme Court was completely burnt down during the protest on Bhadra 24. Most of the physical structures, benches, ongoing cases and information systems of this court were damaged due to arson, stone pelting, vandalism and looting.

Only all types of writ petitions, including habeas corpus, and petitions under Sections 73, 137 and 155 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 2074 BS and Section 157 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 2074 BS, were being registered and heard.

The full court held on 20 informed that all types of cases and petitions, including cases, appeals, applications for retrial and review petitions, will be registered and heard regularly from Mangsir 1.
