Prime Minister Sushila Karki has inquired about the status of passport distribution from officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Passport Department.
She summoned officials of the ministry and department to the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers' Office at Singha Durbar on Tuesday and demanded information on the issue of passport distribution.
Prime Minister Karki also directed officials including Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amrit Bahadur Rai, Director General of the Passport Department Tirtha Raj Aryal, to work in a way that there is no problem with passports. She directed them to immediately move forward with various alternative plans to prevent a situation of passport shortage.
