The Supreme Court has refused to issue an interim order to former Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority Hitendra Dev Shakya.

The bench of Justice Nripadhwaj Niraula has called for discussion. The cabinet meeting had removed him from the Nepal Electricity Authority and transferred him to the secretariat of the Water and Energy Commission by creating a special post. Shakya had filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court demanding that his post should remain in the authority. Shakya had earlier filed a writ petition against Kulman Ghising. Ghising had also filed a writ petition after the KP Sharma Oli government removed him and appointed Shakya.
