The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that there is a possibility of light rain in some hilly and mountainous areas as the influence of the westerly wind is currently prevailing in Nepal.

According to the department, the hilly areas of the country will remain partly cloudy. Similarly, the weather will remain mainly clear in most places. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Life was affected for a few days due to the rains caused by the 'Montha Cyclone' that developed in the Bay of Bengal. There was also snowfall in the Himalayan region along with the rains. Due to the snowfall, 13 tourists, both domestic and foreign, were trapped at the base camp of Tilicho Lake located in Disyang Rural Municipality-9 of Manang. They were rescued by a team from the Mountain Rescue Training Center School of the Armed Police Force, Manang.

Out of these, 185 rainfall measurement centers have provided significant rainfall details.
