The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that the weather in the country is gradually improving and will improve further on Sunday.

Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari of the department's Weather Forecasting Division informed that although there was light to moderate rain in many places on Saturday morning, it gradually cleared by the afternoon and the weather improved in many places in the country in the evening and stopped.

Although the effect of the Montha cyclone that developed from the Bay of Bengal has disappeared, there was rain in many places in the country today due to the effect of the westerly wind and the low pressure system formed in the Arabian Sea, he said. This situation is continuing to improve and Sunday will improve a lot compared to today, the official said.

Currently, Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces are generally mostly cloudy, while the rest of the provinces are partially cloudy. Light to moderate rain is occurring in a few places in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

The division has stated that there is a possibility of moderate rain/snowfall in some places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Daily life, mountaineering, and agriculture and tourism in those areas are likely to be affected, so it is requested to adopt necessary precautions.

This time, the system developed from the Arabian Sea in the Montha cyclone system and the westerly winds have caused rain in many parts of the country, causing damage to rice crops in large areas. Similarly, high mountain areas and trekking have been badly affected due to heavy snowfall. Rain has been affecting normal life in Nepal since Kartik 13.
