The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that the weather will gradually improve from this evening, despite rain and cloudy conditions in most parts of the country due to the effects of Cyclone 'Montha' and a low-pressure system developing in the Bay of Bengal.

Currently, most of the provinces in the country are likely to experience rain and snowfall, but the weather will be completely cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, while the rest of the provinces will remain generally cloudy.

According to the division, moderate rain will occur in many places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces this afternoon. In addition, there is a possibility of light rain in some places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is a possibility of heavy rain in some places in Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces and one or two places in Lumbini province.

Similarly, moderate snowfall is likely in many places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Similarly, there is a possibility of heavy snowfall in some places in those provinces.
