According to Information Officer Kayastha, heavy rain has occurred in many districts in the last 24 hours. Jhapa and Udayapur have received 93.6 and 97.6 millimeters of rain. More than two dozen rain gauge stations have received between 50 and 80 millimeters of rain. Lalitpur has received 72 millimeters of rain and Kathmandu has received 40 millimeters of rain.

Cyclone Montha, which developed in the Bay of Bengal, is currently a low-pressure area around Madhya Pradesh, India, and will be affected by that system until this evening, according to Information Officer Kayastha. After that, it will improve.

Nepal is also partially affected by the westerly winds and the low-pressure system formed in the Arabian Sea. Currently, the weather is generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rainfall is occurring in many places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and in some places in Lumbini province, while very heavy rainfall is occurring in some places.
