There was moderate rain throughout the day on Thursday. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, 40 millimeters of rain fell in 24 hours.

'This is called moderate rain, it can be called heavy rain only after 50 mm of rain,' said Sanjeev Adhikari, a meteorologist at the department, 'There is a possibility of heavy rain from tonight.'

Moderate rain is being experienced throughout the day in Bagmati, Koshi, Madhesh and other areas. He informed that there was heavy rain in Gandaki and Lumbini. There has been snowfall in the high mountainous areas of Gandaki and Bagmati provinces.

The Meteorological Department has stated that the rain that has fallen since Wednesday will continue till Saturday. For this, it has also been called to be safe by taking precautions. The department has requested people to take weather information before going for trekking in Nepal.
