President Ram Chandra Poudel has reached Guheshwari and worshipped the Chhathi Mata along with the Sun and offered Arghyadan. It has been a tradition for the President to worship the Chhathi Mata along with the Sun God at Guheshwari and Kamalpokhari every year on the occasion of Chhath festival, which is celebrated grandly in various parts of the country, and to offer Arghyadan to the setting sun.

But this year, they have only visited Guhveshwori.  Every year, Chhath festival, which is celebrated from Kartik Shukla Chaturthi to Saptami, is celebrated grandly at Guhveshwori-Gauri Ghat, Kamal Pokhari, Thapathali and other places in the Kathmandu Valley.

On the occasion of Chhath festival, other places in the capital as well as here, have been decorated grandly by worshipping the setting sun and offering Arghya.
