The Federal Parliament Building in Naya Baneshwor has been damaged during the Gen-G movement. That is why there is also a problem in holding the National Assembly meeting. 'The old Parliament Building has been damaged due to arson during the Gen-G demonstration. The National Assembly meeting has to be held,' he said, 'The House of Representatives meeting should also be held after the upcoming election. It will take time to make the currently damaged Parliament Building operational. Therefore, the new Parliament Building should be completed as soon as possible.'
In the meantime, the contractor representative had stated that 87 percent of the work has been completed so far and 'finishing' work is underway inside the building. Stating that there has been some delay in the construction as some construction materials have to be brought from abroad, the contractor company had said that they are working to complete the remaining work by Poush 16.
