Unified Socialists call for central committee meeting, internal disputes to be resolved

The CPN (Unified Socialist) has called a central committee meeting in Kathmandu on November 2. The meeting has been called to discuss the proposal for unity with various leftist forces.

The meeting, which will focus on bringing the ongoing unity talks with the leftist, communist and socialist parties to an early conclusion, will discuss the party's theoretical perspective after the unity, management of leaders and other issues, said Damodar Aryal, deputy head of the Central Propaganda Department.

Ideological disputes and internal conflicts of the organization are to be resolved through the Central Committee meeting. Most of the party leaders have now suggested that some communists should do their homework to polarize all the leftists before unifying the party.

The role that the party should play in holding the elections to the House of Representatives on the announced date, in a fair, free and fearless environment, and the meeting, which will mobilize all committees of the party and mass organizations to actively participate in the election process, will give the responsibility of advancing dialogue and cooperation between the pro-democratic republic and pro-constitution forces and the party to resolve the current crisis, protect the republic and the constitution, and create a reliable environment for the election.

UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli had called on the Unified Socialists, which has done its homework on uniting parties affiliated with the Socialist Front and other leftist forces, to unite.
