Police have arrested a Nepali and another Chinese citizen with Rs 6.985 million of undisclosed origin from Swayambhu, Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
The arrested are 38-year-old Chinese national Xiao Yang and 22-year-old Rojina Sunar from Nilkantha Municipality, Dhading, informed Additional Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki, Chief of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari.
He said, "Two people, one Chinese and one Nepali, have been arrested with undisclosed amount of money. Necessary further investigation is underway in their case."
Additional Inspector General of Police Karki said that the police have also recovered gold ornaments from the rented room of the arrested people.
