President Poudel made this statement during a discussion with the Genji activists, including the interim government, at the President's residence, Sheetal Niwas, on Thursday.
Stating that the new elections were announced so that the country, which the youth movement wants, would be truly free from corruption, nepotism, and favoritism, free from partisan behavior, and that the right people would run the country, the President urged the youth not to take this election lightly but to make it a matter of prestige as a grand campaign to change the face of the nation, said Press Advisor Kiran Pokharel. “In this election, you youth should come forward and build a good House of Representatives, so that the corrupt and the scoundrels do not win, but the good and honest win,” Pokharel said, quoting President Poude’s statement. “Then the country should follow the path of justice, good governance, and progress.” And, the situation where youths are forced to migrate abroad must end.’
