The Nepalthok-Dhulikhel section under the BP highway has resumed operation within five days. On October 18-19, the flood in Rosikhola washed away the temporary tack road at 16 places, and three and a half kilometers (3500 meters) of the road was blocked.

After the construction of diversion roads at 3 places towards Sindhuli and 13 places towards Kavre, the traffic has resumed from Friday. According to Manoj Shrestha, a hotelier from Mulkot, who is at the construction site, motorcycles and small vehicles are coming towards Sindhuli through Mamti. Last year's flood caused major damage to the 22 km road from Nepalthok to Chowkdanda. At that time, it took about three weeks to bring the road into operation, but this year, the highway was reopened after the construction of the diversion within five days.

Kulman Ghisingh, Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, conducted two on-site inspections and instructed to work quickly, and the construction work was started day and night. Now the Dhulikhel-Sindhuli-Vardiwas section of BP highway has come into operation. With the opening of Nepalthok-Dhulikhel section, the entire highway has been opened . However, the police have suggested to travel using diversion as there will be a traffic jam.
