Dozens of fake IDs have been opened on the social network Facebook in the name of Prime Minister Sushila Karki. With the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Office keeping the Prime Minister's official Facebook name as 'PM Sushila Karki', dozens of fake IDs are appearing on the same name.
A search for 'PM Sushila Karki' on Facebook found at least 29 'accounts' with the same name. Most of the accounts have been opened immediately while some have been found to have changed their names.
Even before this, a fake ID was launched in the name of the Prime Minister on the social network X . In this way, after opening fake accounts, the Prime Minister and Cabinet Office informed about the official 'account' through a statement.
The previous prime minister was using a Facebook and X account called 'PMO Nepal'. But Prime Minister Karki has launched her separate account.
According to Subas Dhakal, Joint Secretary of the Information Technology Division of the Prime Minister's Office, the new 'account' has been launched on the social network by the decision of the Prime Minister's Secretariat.
'It was decided to open a new account from the Secretariat of the Honorable Prime Minister. So a new account has been launched. We also have old IDs,' he said.
