The Monsoon response 'Command Post' meeting held today at the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has decided to continue the search, rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the victims and affected people due to the monsoon disaster caused by the heavy rain.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has requested the relevant agencies to collect and send the preliminary damage assessment, affected numbers and details of the area as soon as possible.
The Monsoon response 'Command Post' meeting held today at the authority has decided to continue the search, rescue, relief and rehabilitation work of the victims and affected people due to the monsoon disasters caused by the heavy rains. The executive head of the authority, Dinesh Prasad Bhatt, informed that the
meeting decided to request the related local level and concerned agencies to complete the work related to relief, relocation and rehabilitation of the disaster affected persons and families as soon as possible. He said that it has been decided to request the relevant district administration offices to coordinate with the local level to provide relief to the families of the deceased and arrange free treatment for the injured.
After analyzing the risk of disaster, the local administration has been requested not to operate night bus services on risky highways/roads until further notice.
In the case of essential services, cargo and passenger vehicles stopped on the highway and vehicles operating in short distances, it has been decided to operate inter-district coordination in view of the local disaster risk situation. The
meeting has requested the related agencies to operate essential services such as road department, water supply, electricity, communication etc.
