With the heavy rain falling in most parts of the country, the vehicles that left the valley since this morning have started returning to the valley.

The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has informed that vehicles have started returning to the valley to stay safe after landslides started on various highways.

Nareshraj Subedi, spokesperson of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, informed that after landslides started on the main highways including BP, Arnico, Prithvi, the vehicles that had left the valley also started returning.

'Vehicles that have left the valley due to landslides are also returning to Kathmandu, at this time the border crossings on all sides of the valley are closed,' he said.

The road department has informed that the entry of vehicles has been blocked on the BP highway after 10 am. The Department of Water and Meteorology has requested to take special precautions as there will be heavy rain till October 20th.
