With the rain, 16 places in Dhading section under Prithvi Highway and Tribhuvan Rajpath are at risk of landslides.

Today, the joint monitoring of the District Disaster Management Committee and the technical team has identified a high risk of landslides and road flooding at 16 locations on the main highways entering the capital. 

Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office, Bhesraj Rizal, asked them to stay safe in their respective places as there is no condition to travel on the highway. He said that the highest risk was seen in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-10 Jawangkhola. 

Similarly, there is a high risk of landslides in Jhaple Khola (old landslide area), Tunnel Marg, Char Kilo (road washed away), Sat Kilo, Kamere Bhir, Mahesh Dobhan (Ledo and water coming on the road), Chiraudi Bridge, Jarekhet Bridge, Galaudi Bridge, Pareva Bhir, Hilltop Mode, Bandare Mode, Krishna Bhir and Lantern Bazar.

According to the disaster management team, there is a danger of landslides immediately after the rain increases in other risky places. It is said that the vehicles stopped in the landslide have been sent to their destination by avoiding the landslide. 

Chief District Officer Vijayraj Subedi informed that vehicles are prohibited from entering the danger zone and only emergency vehicles are allowed to move under the supervision of security agencies.

District Disaster Management Committee Dhading has informed that risk reduction work is ongoing in cooperation with road department technicians, police and local bodies.
