High rainfall in Terai, how much rain fell in other places?

High rainfall in Terai, how much rain fell in other places?

Monsoon is raining in different parts of the country. According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, especially in Terai districts, high and heavy rains are occurring.

According to the department, in the last 24 hours, Maheshpur of Rautahat has received the most 289 mm of rain and Gaur of Rautahat has received 259 mm of rain. 247 mm of rain has been received in Birganj, 231 mm in Parsa and 222 mm in Bara.

Similarly, information officer of the department Dinkar Kayasth informed that there was 134 mm of rain in Makwanpur and 122 mm in Kavrepalanchok. More than 50 millimeters of rain has fallen in various districts including Kathmandu Valley. 

According to the department, sirens have been sounded as they have crossed the danger level in 10 centers after very heavy rainfall in Bara, Parsa and Rautahat districts. 

The flood forecast division of the department has said that the water level is above the alert level and increasing in Kavre-Rossi, Manohara-Kathmandu, Bagmati-Kathmandu, Lalbakaia-Makwanpur. 

Almost all the river channels flowing through Bagmati Province and Madhes Province are near the alert level and it is being requested to be careful.
