Home Minister Omprakash Aryal has directed the security agencies to be prepared for possible disaster risk management and mitigation. He gave this instruction while inspecting Nepal Police Disaster Management Office Samakhusi.

During the inspection visit, Home Minister Aryal observed the artificial incident rescue practice demonstration and the disaster rescue material warehouse and got information about the related activities.

In a program held here after the inspection, Home Minister Aryal said that despite the limited resources and lack of training, the work being done by the Nepal Police in disaster management is commendable.

He also instructed to be in a state of preparedness so as to be ready for immediate mobilization at any time with high morale to control and minimize the loss of human resources due to the risk of possible disasters. 

Additional Inspector General of Police Siddhivikram Shah, Head of Nepal Police Headquarters Work Department, gave a vote of thanks. In the

program, Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Bhattarai, Head of Nepal Police Headquarters, Nepal Police Disaster Management Office, Samakhusi, gave a presentation on disaster incidents and police mobilization, monsoon preparedness and disaster response plan, the need for effective response and future plans.
