District Administration Office Kathmandu has received information from the Department of Water and Meteorology that there will be heavy rain from today and has requested not to enter or travel out of Kathmandu during the night for the next few days.

Ashok Kumar Bhandari, Assistant Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, said that according to the weather forecast and information sent by the Department of Water and Meteorology, there is a possibility of heavy rains in the district from October 17th to 20th, and as a result of this there is a possibility of catastrophic events such as floods, landslides, and soil erosion in risky places.

He has also requested not to travel long distances during that period unless it is very urgent . He issued a notice and said, 'Dignities leaving Kathmandu and entering Kathmandu from outside are requested not to travel at night.'

Lalitpur administration has already decided to stop the traffic of Kanti Lokthap.  It has been decided to operate vehicles only from 6 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon and prohibit the operation of vehicles larger than four wheels.
