He cannot speak properly. They cannot even hear what others are saying. There is not much information about family and relatives. Neither know the way home, nor the money to get home. 70-year-old Temak Bahadur Chand of Rukum Bamfikot was found in a similar condition at Mahendranagar Bus Park on Monday

He worked in an apple orchard in a place called Rudu in Shimla, Himachal, India, and reached Mahendranagar stranded after the contractor ran away. "Six months' wages were calculated, then the contractor absconded," said Chand, "Then he decided where to go and what to do. He reached here by walking somewhere and by car." He stayed in Dharamshala as he had no money for food and shelter. He reached Mahendranagar by walking on Monday morning. He came in contact with the police at Mahendranagar bus park and was sent home by the Civilian Aid Cell established in Gaddachouki by the Sudurpaschim Province government.

Chand, who entered India in search of employment as a child, has his own pain. He is returning home for the first time after entering India in 11 years. Rukum only knows that Bamfikot is his home, but he doesn't remember the way to go.

"If I can reach Rukum by bus from Nepalgunj, I will find out the house," said Chand, "My parents have already passed away, there is no one else at home."

'I thought of going to my uncle's house, but I don't know if my uncle is there or not, where are my brothers,' he said, 'there was no one in my house, other relatives know me or not.' He said that he went to India after the death of his parents at the age of 7.

He was working in Shimla for the last three years after visiting various places in India. Also got married in India. He said that his wife Parvati died three months ago. He said that he died after being hit by a stone while working on a crusher. Children are nothing .

'When I left home to go to my own village in my old age, I was cheated by the contractor and got stuck,' he said, 'The contractor is also our Nepali, a man named Lal Bahadur from Baglung.' But he said that he ran away the next day and was not contacted.

Many Nepalis who have gone to India for employment have been stuck without getting wages. The incidents of contractors employing Nepalis running away without paying wages are repeated regularly. This year alone, 3 Nepali workers who were cheated by the contractor came here, said Dansingh Bohora, an employee of the Civil Aid Center.
