The government has decided to keep only one secretary in the Ministry of Finance, which has two secretaries. For the time being, only one secretary will do the work and they will be transferred. Ghanshyam Upadhyay is currently the finance secretary.

On the proposal of Finance Minister Rameshwar Khanal, the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday transferred 4 secretaries including Revenue Secretary Dinesh Ghimire. Ghimire has been transferred from the Revenue Secretary and given the responsibility of the Secretary of the Natural Resources and Finance Commission. But now  he proposed a reduction saying that he did not want another secretary. 

Secretary Sobhakant Poudel is in charge of the Comptroller General of the Ministry of Finance. Mahesh Baral, who is in charge of the Financial Federalism Division, has been transferred to the training center.
