According to the road department, 60 percent of the landslide that occurred in Tuinkhola on the Muglin-Narayangadh road section has been removed so far.

Excavators and loaders have been mobilized one each from Narayangarh side to remove the landslide. Two loaders and an excavator are continuously removing landslides from Muglin side. Apart from this, 1/1 backhoe loaders have been deployed on both sides, said Prabhat Kumar Jha, spokesperson of the department. As the

working area is narrow, only 5 devices can work from both sides at the same time, the department said. It is said that the equipment is working at full capacity, although there are some difficulties due to the large stones on the Narayangadh side during the removal of the landslide.

Due to the large amount of stones in the landslide pile and problems such as tire puncture due to small sharp stones, operator getting injured due to stones, the expected progress has not been made, so two operators have been added from Heavy Equipment Division, Hetauda and Dumre.

The department believes that the operation could be continued without any hindrance. The department believes that the whole  slide will be removed by tonight.
