Traffic has been blocked for 13 hours in the Daunne section under the East-West Highway due to the slippery road after the rain. According to Sunil Khanal, a local resident, traffic has been blocked in Downe since 5 pm on Thursday.

Hundreds of east-west travelers are stranded in Daunne.  As the road near Vishwakarma temple, which is about 4 km west of Dumkibas, is muddy, the traffic jam has reached Dumkibas and the forest.

50 meters east of the Vishwakarma temple, water flows from the road during the rainy season due to non-construction of a canal. The area police office Dumkibas has informed that the highway is being blocked due to large vehicles getting stuck on the hill.
