Nikita was tormented by this oppression of the state. She could not sleep all night due to the tension of the state shooting the youth who were demanding their rights for change. She stayed with her parents until late and complained about the brutality of the state. Why did you kill him? If they keep killing the youth like this, who will live in the country? However, the family had no answer to give him.

Although she slept late at night, she woke up early on August 24. She became paranoid due to the incident of the previous day when friends of her own age group were killed. The road became even more heated on Tuesday. Youths were shouting slogans in different places of the country including the capital, against the killings by the state. The chanting crowd reached the gaushala as well. She also started shouting slogans. After the atmosphere became tense, she left there. 

Nikita sat on the roof of her house and started watching the movement. After some time, the movement became more tense. After the police fired tear gas, the protesting group marched to set fire to the police station. The police opened fire on the arson crowd. A quiet cow shed suddenly turned into a battlefield. Nikita was sitting on the roof watching. Around 1 pm suddenly a bullet hit Nikita's chest. She collapsed. Together, the happiness of the family fell. 

Nikita, who was born in Kathmandu in 2063, died at the tender age of 19. Nikita, who had just passed class 12, was preparing to go abroad. 

19-year-old Dipesh Sunuwar from Sindhuli was a contract cleaner in Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality for two years. He has been in regular contact at home and has not been in contact with anyone since August 24. Mother Bhimamaya came to Kathmandu to look for her son for four days. After reaching Kathmandu, she found out that her son's body was in the University Teaching Hospital. Dipesh was shot dead while participating in the demonstration on 24 August. 

22-year-old Mahesh Budhathoki's routine was to take care of his cancer-stricken mother. He is from Bigu Rural Municipality-3 Bulung of Dolakha. Santosh Rai, a 51-year-old resident of Chaudandigarhi-3 Amsal in Udaipur, reached Gaushala with his friend via Baneshwar, Tinkune on August 24. When the protestors started attacking the police station as well, there was a rain of tear gas and indiscriminate firing. Santosh did not run away. At that time, he was shot in the head. He died on the spot. He was working as a wage laborer in Kathmandu. 

Shubraj Balami Shrestha of Nuwakot-1 Kakani went to Kathmandu the next day with his friends to protest after hearing the news that youths were killed in the Gen-G movement on August 23. After participating in the demonstration in Kathmandu, the friends returned home. But Shubraj was not satisfied. On the night of August 25, the family suddenly got the news that he was unconscious in Veer Hospital.

According to Sant Bahadur Shrestha, Shubraj's little father, the family found out that Shubraj was in the hospital from a video posted on Tiktok saying that no relatives were found. 

By the time the relatives Veer reached the hospital, only Shubraj was left. He was put on a ventilator. 30-year-old Devkumar Subedi from Lalbandi in Sarlahi used to work as a security guard at the road department in Kalimati. In the 24 August movement, he left home saying to change the country. After that he never came back. He died when the police opened fire in Kalimati area. Devkumar's father-in-law Bhakta Bahadur Adhikari said, "My daughter was telling me not to join the movement."

Ramesh Parajuli from Palungtar Municipality-3 Bardedanda was interested in social change and country development since his school age. He lived in Dubai for 10 years on foreign employment and was running a food store in a broken staircase near Kathmandu Banyantar. During his free time, he also used to run 'Pathao'. 

With the announcement of the Gen-G movement, he also participated in the work of the shop. Ravindra Adhikari, Ward President of Palungtar-3, who is also a neighbor, said that he was shot in the chest during the demonstration. "He was very helpful, if someone from the village went to Kathmandu, he would come to pick him up himself. He was also active in social work," he said. Arjun lived in Kathmandu Kirtipur with his father who was running a hotel business. After staying in Dubai for about one and a half years for foreign employment, Arjun returned only one and a half months ago. "Babu grew up in Kathmandu," his relative Jit Bahadur Bhatt said.

Umesh, who was shot during the Gen-G movement, was taken to the frontline hospital in Baneshwar, where he died during treatment. Umesh was preparing to go to Dubai after completing class 12 in Kathmandu. 

Vijay Choudhary of Lahan Municipality-15 was living on rent in Pepsicola in Kathmandu with his wife and four-year-old daughter. Vijay got married only seven years ago. According to his father, Hariprasad, he studied up to 12th standard and used to work in house wiring there.

He was returning to the camp last Tuesday evening after finishing work as usual. However, he stopped when he saw the agitation going on in New Baneshwar. That's when he got injured. He was then taken to the Civil Hospital where he was declared dead. 

The family has not been able to know how he was injured or who took him to the hospital. "We have taken care of ourselves as much as possible, but Vijay's mother and daughter-in-law are dying from house to house," said Hariprasad in a huff.
