The Ministry of Home Affairs has declared a public holiday on Wednesday to observe national mourning in honor of those who lost their lives during the 'Jenji' movement.

The spokesperson of the ministry, Anand Kafle, issued a statement on Tuesday and informed that according to the decision of the Council of Ministers on the 30th of August, tomorrow has been declared a public holiday. 

said in a statement, 'In honor of the dead who lost their lives during the demonstrations by the Genji generation on August 23 and 24, this notice has been published for the information of all those who are aware of the decision of the Government of Nepal (Council of Ministers) to give a public holiday and fly the national flag at half-mast in government offices, Nepali embassies and missions across Nepal on Wednesday, October 1.'
