There will be a phone conversation between the newly appointed Prime Minister Sushila Karki and Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. A minister informed that the talks are being prepared shortly.

Soon after being appointed as the Prime Minister, Modi congratulated her on social media and mentioned that she was an important example of women's empowerment.

Karki was appointed as the Prime Minister on Friday.
