At present, the low pressure line of monsoon is located around Sardar place and the influence of water vapor air from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal is also there.
According to the 'Bulletin' issued by the Department of Water and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, this afternoon, it will be generally cloudy across the country and there is a possibility of moderate rain in some places of hilly areas including Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and one or two places of Sudurpaschim province are also likely to experience heavy rain The department said.
Similarly, the department also said that in addition to being generally cloudy in the country tonight, there is a possibility of moderate rain in some places in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Province and in some places in the rest of the country. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The department has predicted that there is a risk of landslides and debris flows due to rain, water levels in large and small rivers and streams may rise and transport areas may be affected, and requested everyone to be alert and prepared.
