Pradeep Yadav, who was the Water Minister in the Cabinet led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, has resigned.
Yadav said that he has resigned as the Water Minister. He is a Member of Parliament of Jaspa Nepal.
Minister Yadav has submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Oli saying that he is not fit to be in the government after the incident in which 19 youths lost their lives during the demonstration of Genjis.
'Yesterday, in support of the movement by the Zenji youth and protesting the oppression by the government and the administration, I announce my resignation from the position of Minister of Water Supply,' Minister Yadav said, 'Dear young brothers and sisters, you are my first helper and the source of my passion and energy. I appeal to all of us to show restraint and support the young generation.
Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar has already resigned from the Oli-led government taking responsibility for the incident that resulted in the death of 19 people. Likewise, Agriculture Minister Ram Nath Adhikari has also resigned from the post.
