India has said that it is closely monitoring the latest developments in Nepal. On Tuesday, the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement and expressed its grief over the death of young people during the demonstration of Genji.

'We are closely monitoring the events seen in Nepal since yesterday . "We are deeply saddened by the loss of so many young lives," the ministry said in a statement, "We express our condolences to the families of the deceased." We wish for the speedy recovery of the injured.'

Emphasizing the close friendship and neighborly relationship with Nepal, India urges all parties to exercise restraint and resolve the issues through peaceful dialogue.

India, mentioning that curfew orders have been issued in other cities including Kathmandu, has asked the Indian citizens in Nepal to be vigilant and follow the instructions issued by the local administration.

19 people died and 422 people were injured when the police repressed the demonstration started by Genji against the distortion, inconsistency and instability of the government .
