More than 200 security personnel of the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force of Nepal were injured while taking control of the Jenji protest when it suddenly turned violent.

Central Police Spokesperson Deputy Inspector General of Police Binod Ghimire informed that 38 of the injured people of Nepal Police are being treated.
There was a clash between the protestors and the police trying to enter the Sanghaya Sansad building in Naya Baneshwar on Monday. At that time, the protesters vandalized the parliament building wall and set fire to the police quarters on the south side of the building. The protestors set fire to the ambulance of the armed police at the same place.
Demonstrators surrounded the parliament building and tried several times to enter. During that time, clashes between the two parties continued. The security personnel who were injured by stones, bricks and glass bottles thrown by the protestors were treated at the health center inside the parliament building. The head, hand, mouth and other organs of the security personnel were injured. Pushparaj Rizal, a doctor from the Federal Parliament Secretariat, was called in to give first aid to the injured security personnel. After first aid, the seriously injured security personnel were 'referred' to Nepal Police Hospital for further treatment.
The police said that the situation in the entire country including Kathmandu Valley is normal now.
