Director General of Water Resources and Irrigation Department E Mitra Baral has been given 'Civil Service Award' for his excellent service in the field of water resources and irrigation.

On the occasion of Civil Service Day 2082, Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh presented him with the award along with a certificate at a program organized here today.

Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister Bhagwati Neupane, Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, Federal Affairs and General Administration Secretary Ravilal Panth were present on the occasion. Civil Service Day is being celebrated today by organizing various programs under the slogan 'Professional and Creative Administration: Development, Prosperity and Good Governance'.

During the time of the then Prime Minister Tank Prasad Acharya, the Government has been celebrating the Civil Service Day by organizing various programs since 2061 in commemoration of the first promulgation of the Civil Service Act on August 13, 2013.
