Meteorologists have said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in the hilly parts of Koshi and Karnali regions. Currently, the Monsoon low pressure line is located in the east of Sardar and in the west south of Sardar. The influence of the low pressure area around Sikkim is seen in the eastern part of Nepal, according to the Department of Water and Meteorology, Purvanaman Division.
According to the division, it will be generally cloudy in the hilly parts of the country today with partial cloudy in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of moderate rain in some places in the hilly parts of the country and some places in the rest of the country. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in the hilly parts of Koshi and Karnali regions.
Similarly, it will be generally cloudy in hilly parts of the country including Koshi and Madhes region tonight and partly cloudy in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of moderate rain in some places in the hilly parts of Bagmati and Gandaki regions including Koshi and in some places in the rest of the hilly and terai regions. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Terai part of Koshi region.
The department has predicted that there is a risk of landslides and debris flows, water levels in large and small rivers and streams may rise and transport areas may be affected, and requested everyone to be alert and prepared.
