Chief Justice of India Bhushan Ramakrishna Gavai came to Nepal on Thursday. He came to Nepal in the evening. Senior Judge Sapna Pradhan Malla welcomed him to Nepal.

Gawai came to Nepal on the invitation of Chief Justice Prakashmansingh Raut. While in Nepal, he will participate in the 'Nepal-India Judicial Dialogue'. Spokesman of Supreme Court Arjun Prasad Koirala informed that the dialogue will last for two days. Along with this, he is also scheduled to visit Pashupatinath, Patan and Lumbini.

Gavai took oath as the 52nd Chief Justice of India on May 14, 2025. Earlier, the then Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud also came to Nepal in May 2024 for a three-day official visit.
