Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is returning home today. The 23-member Nepali team led by Prime Minister Oli, who went to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit at the friendly invitation of the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, is about to return home today. They went there on 14th of August.
During the visit, Prime Minister Oli had a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Tianjin. Similarly, he addressed the summit. Nepal has been a dialogue partner of the organization since 2016. Established in 2001, the SCO organization has developed into one of the largest regional organizations in the world.
China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran and Belarus are its full member states. Afghanistan and Mongolia are observer countries. Along with Nepal, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Cambodia, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Maldives, Myanmar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates are dialogue partners of the organization.
