Today, there is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Terai of Lumbini Province and Far West and hilly parts of Karnali Province.
According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, it is currently raining in most parts of the country. Indicating that the low pressure line of monsoon is located around Sardar place, the department said that the influence of monsoon wind from the Bay of Bengal has increased.
Today afternoon, it will be mostly cloudy in hilly parts of the country, including Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, and the remaining parts will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Vagmati, Gandaki, Terai of Lumbini Province and Far West and hilly parts of Karnali Province. Similarly, there will be a general change across the country tonight. There will be moderate rainfall in many parts of the hilly parts of the country. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces as well as in Terai Bhag of Lumbini and Koshi provinces.
The department has predicted that there is a risk of landslides and debris flows, water levels in large and small rivers and streams may rise and traffic areas may be affected, and requested everyone to be alert and prepared.
