After the spread of cholera, all the schools of Birganj Metropolitan City will be closed for 3 days. According to the Metropolitan Municipality, all schools will be closed from Wednesday to Friday.
On Tuesday, the city-level meeting decided to close the school. Also, the teachers and staff of the school have been asked to conduct public awareness programs on cholera control. By 6 pm on Monday, the number of cholera infected people in various hospitals of the metropolis has reached 93.
The National Public Health Laboratory has confirmed cholera infection in eight patients sent from Birganj suspected of having cholera.
